Brandon Barr let us have a peek in his studio. His colorful playful paintings and sculptures added a festive and dynamic atmosphere to our lively gathering. It was an evening to remember!
Artist’s vision:
I have a mixed media approach to art making, working with video, sculpture, painting and interactive installation. My work often explores the intersection of digital content and physical phenomena. What happens when you combine a decayed piece of wood with a printed digital image or a melted piece of plastic with a colorful glowing led light? How do these opposing elements interact with one another? I am fascinated by this contrast, this push and pull between the ephemeral and concrete. Instagram
